SV-Audio by Storgaard & Vestskov was founded from a shared desire to hear recordings as they were intended — uncolored, honest, and complete.
Over time, one conviction became clear: the true purpose of high-end audio is not to add character, but to remove what stands between the listener and the recording. That conviction became our reason for being.
Method
Our home is Bornholm. From the beginning, SV-Audio was shaped around doing the essential work ourselves: research and development, crossover design, CNC machining of aluminum components, system integration, and final assembly.

Sound That Matters
At a certain point, the ongoing development of our loudspeakers needed a name — not as a slogan, but as a reference.
Sound That Matters emerged from repeated listening and refinement. It describes the moment when the loudspeaker steps aside and the recording is allowed to carry its full intent.
The phrase stayed because it reflected the direction we had already taken. Every decision is weighed against a single question: does this serve the recording?

Design and Craftsmanship
Casper Vestskov Poulsen’s early sketches led to design decisions that remain consistent across every SV-Audio loudspeaker. One of these is the sun-inspired aluminum front baffle — a quiet reference to Bornholm, known as the sunshine island.
