Care & Cleaning Guide

Maintaining the finish and appearance of your SV-Audio loudspeakers

SV-Audio by Storgaard & Vestskov ApS

To maintain the finish and appearance of your SV-Audio loudspeakers, please follow the instructions below carefully. Improper cleaning methods, aggressive chemicals, or misuse may permanently affect the finish and are not covered under warranty.

When purchasing a pair of SV-Audio loudspeakers, the cabinet surfaces are pre-coated with a high-quality detailer that combines gloss enhancement, protection, and hydrophobic properties in one application. The coating is designed to enhance depth, gloss, and surface smoothness while also creating a protective barrier against dirt, dust, grease, environmental residue, etc.

Because of the nature of this coating, improper handling, unsuitable cleaning products, excessive force, or incorrect cloth usage may leave visible marks, uneven sheen, or grease residue on the surface.

1. Important Before Cleaning

Always use separate microfiber cloths for:
  • Cabinet surfaces
  • Aluminum parts

Never use the same cloth on both surfaces.

This includes:

  • Front baffles
  • Feet
  • Bass ports
  • Terminal plates

Using the same cloth on both surfaces may transfer polishing residue, grease, or other particles, potentially creating visible marks, uneven sheen, or grease stains on the aluminum parts.
