Our Story

Before there was SV-Audio, there was a search.

For years, our founder Casper Vestskov Poulsen had explored countless loudspeakers and systems, always searching for something that came closer to the loudspeaker he personally wanted to live with.

He found many things to admire, but never the complete loudspeaker he was looking for.

Not simply in sound, and not simply in design, but as a complete product.
That search gradually led to a realization: the loudspeaker he wanted did not yet exist.

It became the starting point for SV-Audio.

Built on Experience

Casper brought more than 25 years of experience in precision CNC manufacturing, working with steel and aluminum in an environment where materials, tolerances, and process control directly determine the quality of the finished product.

Those years had taught him something important: the greatest challenges in a project often arose in the parts of the process he could not control himself.

That experience became fundamental to the way SV-Audio was built.

A Material We Master

Aluminum became a natural part of SV-Audio from the beginning.

We work extensively with high-grade T6 aerospace aluminum, a material we know intimately and genuinely enjoy working with.

Its strength, precision, and versatility give us the freedom to shape it according to what the product requires.

A Design Language Takes Shape

Casper's early sketches began to define a visual identity that would become recognizable across every SV-Audio loudspeaker.

At its center was the CNC-machined aluminum front baffle, with a radiating pattern inspired by the sun and our home on Bornholm, Denmark's sunshine island.

The pattern was not created for appearance alone. Its geometry was developed to reduce unwanted reflections around the drivers.

Acoustic function and visual identity became part of the same design.

Defining Our Approach

Turning those ideas into a loudspeaker required specialist acoustic expertise.

Sound engineer Jens Posselt was responsible for driver selection and crossover development for the first SV-Audio range, from Frida to Fenja.
Through measurement, listening, and refinement, the acoustic foundation of the range took shape.

After several years of development, SV-Audio was formally founded in Denmark in 2023.

A Family Journey

SV-Audio has been a family journey from the beginning.

We pack the loudspeakers, load the truck, drive to the shows, and bring the family along. It was like that in the beginning, and in many ways, it still is.

Frida as a Reference

Frida was the first loudspeaker where the SV-Audio approach fully came together.

It brought together the sound, exterior design, materials, and craftsmanship that had been developed during the first years.

Frida became the reference for the loudspeakers that followed.

Milestones

High End Munich

In May 2025, SV-Audio exhibited at High End Munich for the first time.

We had been invited by ZenSati ApS to become part of Danish Audio Excellence, sharing a more than 120 m² room with ZenSati and Vitus Audio. For a company only two years into its journey, we suddenly found ourselves presenting alongside names that had been established in high-end audio for decades.

For the occasion, we built the first prototype of Menja, our two-tower loudspeaker system in orange, specifically to bring to Munich.

International Recognition

In October 2025, Frida received Statement of the Year Award.

For a company in only its second year, this was a remarkable moment.

The award has been given to products from many of the most established names in high-end audio, and suddenly SV-Audio was among them.

Our First Steps Into Asia

Among the connections we brought home from High End Munich was a new partnership with Hub Audio in Taiwan. Six months later, we were together at the TECA Taipei International Audio Show for SV-Audio’s first presentation in Asia.

The full range was there, with Fenja at the heart of a system featuring Wadax, YS Sound, Skogrand, and Divine Acoustics

Axpona, Chicago

In April 2026, SV-Audio exhibited at AXPONA, North America’s largest high-end audio show, together with our U.S. partner, Next Level HiFi.

It was our first major presentation in the American market, and a moment that put our progress into perspective. People who had spent decades in the industry told us how unusual it was for such a young European brand to have established this kind of presence in the U.S. so quickly.

Our Serenity Room brought together Fenja, premiered in a custom Porsche color, with McIntosh electronics, Ansuz cabling, an AMG turntable, and a DS Audio phono stage.

The presentation even reached beyond the audio industry, with our room featured by CBS News.

We Get A CTO

In August 2026, Benno Baun Meldgaard joined SV-Audio as Chief Technology Officer.

With more than three decades of experience in loudspeaker design and development, including work behind renowned loudspeaker series such as the Gryphon EOS and Raidho TD, Benno brought a level of experience to SV-Audio that would normally be associated with companies far further into their journey.

But for us, the real milestone was not simply getting a CTO.

It was that someone with Benno’s experience believed enough in what we had built, our philosophy, our products, and where we wanted to go, to become part of it. He relocated to Bornholm and joined us for the long term.

Three years after SV-Audio was founded, one of the industry’s most experienced loudspeaker designers had chosen to become part of our next chapter.
