SV-Audio Welcomes Benno Baun Meldgaard as

Chief Technology Officer

Today marks an important milestone in SV-Audio's journey

As of August 3, Benno Baun Meldgaard has joined SV-Audio as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening our technical development and supporting our long-term vision.

Widely respected throughout the high-end audio industry, Benno brings more than three decades of experience in loudspeaker design and development. Many enthusiasts will recognize him as the designer behind loudspeaker series including the Gryphon EOS Series and the Raidho TD Series.

For SV-Audio, this appointment is about much more than welcoming one of the industry’s most respected loudspeaker designers.

We founded SV-Audio on a passion for music and the belief that great loudspeakers should never become the center of attention. They should disappear, leaving only the recording and the emotional connection between the artist and the listener.

Throughout his career, Benno has pursued a philosophy very similar to our own, making this a natural fit. What makes his appointment particularly meaningful is not only his experience, but his belief in what we have built: our philosophy, our principles, and the direction we are taking.

A Long-Term Commitment

For us, this is not simply a new appointment. It is a long-term investment in the future of SV-Audio.

To become part of the company, Benno relocated across Denmark to Bornholm together with his dachshund, Benjamin Meldgaard, where every SV-Audio loudspeaker is designed, manufactured, and individually tested. His decision reflects a shared belief in our philosophy and a shared ambition to continue building SV-Audio for years and decades to come.

Just as importantly, Benno joins a company with a clear identity and direction. Our current loudspeaker range remains unchanged and continues to represent the sound philosophy and engineering principles that have defined SV-Audio since its founding. His role is to strengthen our future development while preserving the values that define us today.

From machining and cabinet craftmanship to painting, assembly, and final quality assurance, Astrid is developed and built in Denmark with vertically integrated in-house production.

Every loudspeaker is assembled with the same goal in mind: allowing recordings to unfold naturally, without distraction between listener and performance.
